Help us Improve Education in Government Primary Schools

What I love about My School

Children are innately curious beings. They tend to ask a lot of questions! But as adults, we lose sight of this innate curiosity as we get swamped with our work and responsibilities.
Schools create a safe space and creative environment for children where they develop social and emotional skills and learn to observe, evaluate and adapt. When we ask children about their day at school, they have a lot of stories to tell. These questions encourage them to open up and share their experiences.
The topic of the art session conducted in October was "What I love about My School", we asked students what they love about their school and share their stories and experiences through art. Questions like these encourage children to think deeply about their experiences instead of simply answering yes or no.
Divya
"The first thing we do in our school is assemble for the prayer. Then all the children do PT exercises, it is to help us stay fit. I love Kavita ma'am's drawing sessions", Divya (SUNDERPUR 1 GOVERNMENT PRIMARY SCHOOL, GRADE 5) shared the inspiration behind her drawing with our art instructor Kavita.
Prince
"I have drawn the park in my school. It seldom opens, but when it does we play football, and the monkeys sitting on the wall watch us playing", Prince (Sunderpur 2 Government Primary School, Grade 5) shared the inspiration behind his drawing with our art instructor Chandan.
Mona

Kavya

Art provide learning experiences that engage children's minds, hearts and bodies. Our Let's Start Art sessions aim to help these students have a better chance at education.
